The Blood Donation Awareness Program organized by our institution aimed to educate students and faculty about the importance of donating blood. The event included informative sessions highlighting the benefits of blood donation and dispelling myths. A mobile blood donation van was stationed on campus to facilitate donations. The program successfully raised awareness about the critical need for blood donors and encouraged many to pledge their support. Overall, it was a meaningful initiative that contributed to saving lives and promoting a culture of altruism among participants.

Kartavya Club, the social service club of our institution, organized a vibrant and meaningful celebration on 31st October to commemorate Unity Day. The event aimed to promote the values of unity, integrity, and harmony among students and faculty members. It also served as a platform to remember the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, in unifying the country.

Various activities were organized throughout the day to engage participants and foster a sense of unity. A unity march was conducted around the campus, where students carried placards and banners with messages promoting unity and diversity. The Vanamahostav 2023 celebration in Trident Academy of Technology was a grand success, bringing together students, faculty members, and staff to promote environmental awareness and the importance of afforestation. The event was organized to commemorate Vanamahostav, an annual tree planting festival celebrated in India. The day was filled with various activities, including prize distribution, a mesmerizing dance event, and a plantation drive. This report aims to provide an overview of the event, highlighting its significance and the positive impact it had on our college community.

The Vanamahostav celebration began with the prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging the outstanding achievements of students in various academic and co-curricular activities by chief guest Mr Bidyut kumar Mondal (GM IOCL) emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices. This was followed by the presentation of awards and certificates to students who excelled in academics, cultural activities, and community service. Prior to the event, saplings of various indigenous tree species were procured around 200 samplings by 100 students to ensuring their suitability for the local ecosystem. The plantation drive aimed to enhance the green cover of our college and promote a sustainable environment.The recognition not only motivated the recipients but also inspired other students to strive for excellence in their respective fields. By organizing such events, our college not only nurtures the academic growth of its students but also cultivates a sense of social and environmental responsibility

To plant a substantial number of trees to enhance the green cover in the Sikharchandi Area and to promote environmental awareness among students and the local community for the afforestation process the students from Kartavya and NSS of Trident Academy of Technology has come together for a Mega plantation drive organised by Govt of odisha.

The participants, comprising 150 students, were divided into groups and provided with saplings. These saplings included a variety of native and eco-friendly tree species suitable for the local environment. A total of 200 trees were planted during the event.The tree plantation event at Sikharchandi Area had a significant positive impact. It not only increased the green cover in the area but also created awareness among students and the local community regarding the importance of trees and nature conservation. The event was a step towards sustainable environmental practices and eco-consciousness. Participants were provided with refreshments to keep them energized throughout the day. Certificates of participation were distributed to the students and volunteers who actively took part in the tree plantation drive. We hope to continue these efforts in the future to make Odisha a greener and more environmentally conscious state.

The Yoga Day celebration 2023 was observed at Trident Academy of Technology with Patanjali Yogapitha to discuss the profound impact of yoga on our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Through meditation, asanas, breathwork, workshops, and mindful eating, participants were provided with a holistic experience that nurtured their minds, body, and spirit. The event highlighted the significance of embracing yoga as a way of life, enabling individuals to cultivate self-awareness by Yogacharya Dr.Biswaranjan Rath to find inner balance and embark on a journey of personal growth for the students and faculties. TRIDENT ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY Bhubaneswar has organized a INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY  on 21/06/2023 in collaboration with PATANJALI AND BRAHMAKUMARI YOGA PITHA with association of KARTAVYA club . By The event highlighted the significance of embracing yoga and meditation as a way of life, enabling individuals to cultivate self-awareness.

This event was organized by SAIL(Steel Authority of India) with the aim of raising awareness about environmental conservation and promoting the importance of planting and nurturing trees.Trident Academy of Technology has always been committed to promoting environmental consciousness among its students, and this participation was in line with that commitment.

The walkathon commenced early in the morning with participants of 50 students donning white attire to symbolize their commitment to the environment. The students walked together for several kilometers, demonstrating their solidarity with the cause. Before the walkathon, students and teachers engaged in an awareness campaign. They distributed pamphlets, held informative sessions, and encouraged participants to understand various environmental issues such as deforestation, air pollution, and climate change. This helped in creating a strong foundation for the importance of their walk. It was heartening to see such a large turnout, showcasing the collective commitment of our college for community towards environmental conservation. A significant highlight of the event was the tree planting ceremony. After the walk, students and teachers joined hands to plant saplings in the vicinity of the walkathon route. The Kartavya Club's Greenathon was a resounding success, with students actively participating in a range of activities aimed at saving the environment and promoting plant conservation.

One of the key initiatives undertaken by Kartabya Club is the distribution of food and clothing to those in need. With a strong belief in the importance of compassion and empathy, the club strives to address the basic needs of underprivileged individuals and families.

Kartabya Club extends its support through the distribution of clothing items. Donations of gently used or new clothes are collected and sorted by the club's dedicated volunteers. These items are then organized in a way that allows individuals and families to choose garments that meet their specific needs. The club ensures that the clothing distribution event is conducted with sensitivity and respect for the beneficiaries.

The distribution event takes place in a central location at Munda Sahi at Patia for accessible to the target beneficiaries. Volunteers from the club set up stalls where people can collect Dry foods from a variety of food items, depending on availability.

Kartabya Club's food and dress distribution program stands as a testament to the power of collective action and community spirit. Through tour dedicated efforts, the club strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need by providing them with essential resources and fostering a sense of compassion and solidarity. Promoting Fundamental Principles and Humanitarian Values

The International Committees of the Red Cross and National Societies have a consistent and inspirational approach to promoting humanitarian values and the seven Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.

The aim is to influence the behaviour of the people we work with, through a better understanding of Fundamental Principles and humanitarian values. The three main target groups are those working within Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, public and private authorities and members of the communities where we work.

The main priorities are:

Developing a better understanding internally

New initiatives are being taken to ensure that Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers and staff understand and act on the basis of the Fundamental Principles in their work with vulnerable people in times of peace, disaster or armed conflict. Training includes : the legal and ideological basis of the Red Cross Red Crescent, decision-making processes, mandates, as well as communications and relations with others.

Influencing behaviour in the community.

The values that the Movement has formally stated to be of importance for promotion are :

• the protection of life, health and human dignity
• respect for the human being
• non-discrimination on the basis of nationality, race, gender, religious beliefs, disability, class or political opinions
• mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace among people
• service by volunteers

Disaster Relief

The Indian sub continent is highly prone to droughts, floods and other natural calamities. Among the states as many as 22 states are said to be multi-disaster-prone regions.

Among all the disasters that occur in India , floods are the most devastating. Over 40 million hectare of land has been identified as flood prone. An average of 18.6 million hectare of land is flooded annually. The Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna basin, which carry 60 % of the nation's total river flow causes floods.

Another killer is the earthquake -the most dangerous and disastrous.About 57% of the total area in India is vulnerable to seismic activity of varying intensities. Generally areas located in the Himalayan and sub Himalayan region and Andaman and Nicobar islands are vulnerable to earthquakes.

Drought is an eternal feature of Indian livelihood. 18% of the country's total area is drought prone. Approximately half of the Indian population is affected by drought annually. 68% of the total cultivated area is estimated to be drought prone.

India has the gift of having long coastline, running to about 8040 km. This is exposed to tropical cyclones in the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea in the ratio of 4:1. The Indian Ocean is one among the six key cyclone-prone regions of the world. The coromandel coastal line is more prone - about 80% of the total cyclones generated in the region hit here.
