
On the morning of October 1, 2023, a group of enthusiastic students from Trident College gathered at Infocity Square to actively participate in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a nation-wide cleanliness and sanitation campaign initiated by the Indian government. The event was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a symbol of cleanliness and simplicity.
The event started with a clean-up drive. Students armed with brooms, gloves, and garbage bags, enthusiastically collected litter and waste strewn around the square. They cleaned up the streets, pavements, and the surrounding areas. The square witnessed a visible transformation, with piles of garbage being replaced by cleanliness.Alongside the clean-up drive, students engaged with passersby and local vendors to create awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. They distributed pamphlets and conducted short awareness sessions, highlighting the significance of waste segregation, responsible disposal, and the need for a clean environment.
