
The Vanamahostav 2023 celebration in Trident Academy of Technology was a grand success, bringing together students, faculty members, and staff to promote environmental awareness and the importance of afforestation. The event was organized to commemorate Vanamahostav, an annual tree planting festival celebrated in India. The day was filled with various activities, including prize distribution, a mesmerizing dance event, and a plantation drive. This report aims to provide an overview of the event, highlighting its significance and the positive impact it had on our college community.
The Vanamahostav celebration began with the prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging the outstanding achievements of students in various academic and co-curricular activities by chief guest Mr Bidyut kumar Mondal (GM IOCL) emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices. This was followed by the presentation of awards and certificates to students who excelled in academics, cultural activities, and community service. Prior to the event, saplings of various indigenous tree species were procured around 200 samplings by 100 students to ensuring their suitability for the local ecosystem. The plantation drive aimed to enhance the green cover of our college and promote a sustainable environment.The recognition not only motivated the recipients but also inspired other students to strive for excellence in their respective fields. By organizing such events, our college not only nurtures the academic growth of its students but also cultivates a sense of social and environmental responsibility
