
This event was organized by SAIL(Steel Authority of India) with the aim of raising awareness about environmental conservation and promoting the importance of planting and nurturing trees.Trident Academy of Technology has always been committed to promoting environmental consciousness among its students, and this participation was in line with that commitment.
The walkathon commenced early in the morning with participants of 50 students donning white attire to symbolize their commitment to the environment. The students walked together for several kilometers, demonstrating their solidarity with the cause. Before the walkathon, students and teachers engaged in an awareness campaign. They distributed pamphlets, held informative sessions, and encouraged participants to understand various environmental issues such as deforestation, air pollution, and climate change. This helped in creating a strong foundation for the importance of their walk. It was heartening to see such a large turnout, showcasing the collective commitment of our college for community towards environmental conservation. A significant highlight of the event was the tree planting ceremony. After the walk, students and teachers joined hands to plant saplings in the vicinity of the walkathon route. The Kartavya Club's Greenathon was a resounding success, with students actively participating in a range of activities aimed at saving the environment and promoting plant conservation.
